This includes the preparation of the Petition and all of the necessary paper work to proceed to obtaining the Decree Nisi and subsequent Decree Absolute.
In Judicial Separations , which are identical in format as to divorce, she will proceed on the same path as the divorce, save that the process ends at the decree nisi , so preventing either party from remarrying. This is a procedure aimed at those, whom for religious reasons do not accept divorce or for Parties who have yet to be married for 12 months and therefore cannot obtain a divorce or for those that do not accept that the marriage is over, but legally feel it appropriate to have a decree of separation, to give them time to decide whether or not there is a prospect of reconciliation.

In addition , Carol has prepared Pre Nuptial agreements in respect of Civil Partnership Marriages .
Carol represents clients going through Divorce or Judicial Separation, in order to resolve their financial issues. She will make a referral to Mediation ( now compulsory) and if such does not assist the parties , then she will secure disclosure from an Opponent and raise questions upon the same. Negotiations will commence but if there is no compromise on the part of an Opponent or her client, then the matter will be placed into Court. She will then prepare the application ; draft the lengthy Form E and proceed through with Questionnaires;Chronologies and Statements of issue in readiness for the First Directions Appointment and subsequently Skeleton arguments and trial bundles to the Financial Dispute Resolution Appointment , where most cases are settled.
Carol recognises that divorce or separation can result in issues over whom the child/ren should live with or what contact the other party should have to those children. She endeavours to negotiate upon the same and encourages parties to attend Mediation. If all of such fails then she will assist in the preparation of an application to the Court .
